About WEN

Women Empowerment Network (WEN) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2011 focused on empowering and strenghtening Latina professionals.

WEN is a community of Latina executives and professionals - and men with whom the goals of WEN resonate. The following countries are represented: United States, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Italy, France and Spain.

WEN was created based upon the belief that women need to communicate, support, and strengthen one another. WEN was created as a forum for promoting efficient, creative and multidimensional communication for women who generously wish to help their peers as well as develop themselves personally and professionally.

WEN was founded with the following objectives:

  • To strengthen women.
  • To generate networks of women intent on building paradigms that will allow them to achieve balance among their personal, family and professional lives.
  • To overcome the social mores and restrictions that culture imposes on women.
  • To help women overcome the obstacles that stand in their way to a better future.
  • To encourage women to transform their surroundings with peace and welfare as their core values.

DR. BEATRIZ MARTORELLO HAS LED THE ORGANIZATION SINCE 2011.

Among the topics addressed by WEN at events such as conferences and workshops organized in 2011-2014 in Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Peru and Nigeria were the following: leadership, equality of rights, non-discrimination, domestic violence, human trafficking, women and interpersonal relationships, women and physical, mental and spiritual health, balance among personal, family and professional life.

New Stage

Together with a group of Latin American women living in the USA and her husband, Beatriz has relaunched WEN in 2020 with a view to building networks of contacts among women – and men – connected with female empowerment.

During this stage, WEN will focus on strengthening Latin American women professionals and leaders in the US, Latin America and worldwide, encouraging them to connect with each other and gather around the creative fire of a Humanity committed to collaboration, connectivity and cooperation.

We have organized an agenda which includes very interesting topics.

We are open to receiving your suggestions in order that WEN becomes a space that effectively contributes to meet the needs of Women of the 21st Century. Send us your suggestions to WEN.
